Studies reveal that Coptis and Pau d’Arco may possess potent multifactorial immunomodulatory properties. Catnip’s main active constituent is rosmarinic acid, an ester of caffeic acid. Research has shown that rosmarinic acid may contain several properties that reduce inflammation, act as an astringent, and may guard against microbial activity and mutation.
Yerba Santa has a long history of use in traditional medicine as an herbal remedy for use in respiratory issues and inflammation reduction. Studies have also listed these uses among other possible benefits attributed to Yerba Santa. Research reveals that Fennel may possess properties that inhibit microbial activity and may contain a nematicidal terpene. Eucalyptus leaf has been shown in studies to possibly exhibit inhibitory activity against bacteria, fungi, and parasites and may also manifest hepatoprotective ability.
