Glycemic Select® offers targeted micronutrients and advanced speciality ingredients to help support a healthy glycemic response. This clinician-designed formula contains vitamins, minerals and researched nutritional ingredients such as alpha-lipoic acid, cinnamon and resveratrol that have been studied to help support metabolic balance, promote healthy insulin sensitivity and reduce the accumulation of pro-inflammatory advanced glycation end products (AGEs) in the bloodstream, a common result of high levels of circulating blood glucose.
Vitamins in Glycemic Select® include Benfotiamine, a vitamin B1 analogue studied for decades as an effective antiglycation agent, and vitamins D and K which work together to help decrease inflammation in blood vessels.
Minerals feature magnesium, well-known to help support a healthy cardiovascular system, and zinc, which provides researched inflammation support. Glycemic Select® also features chromium, a mineral required for the production of glucose tolerance factor. As such, chromium is considered a first-line blood sugar control nutrient. The trace element vanadium works together with chromium to offer additional glycemic support.
A thoughtful and unique selection of speciality nutrients rounds out the formula, beginning with L-Leucine, an anabolic amino acid shown to help enhance the body's insulin response following a meal. As a branched-chain amino acid, leucine helps promote the synthesis of metabolically active muscle tissue-the primary site of mitochondria in the body where most of our insulin receptors are located.

Glycemic Select® also contains meaningful levels of taurine and alpha-lipoic acid, sulfur-containing antioxidants that have been shown in numerous studies to help enhance glucose utilization and insulin sensitivity. In addition, resveratrol has also been shown to help promote healthy insulin and blood sugar response and is included here in the preferred trans-resveratrol form.
Cinsulin® is a premium water extract of cinnamon that may help to optimize insulin sensitivity and support healthy blood sugar, blood pressure and body composition. Cinnamon also has been shown to delay carbohydrate digestion for a slower release of glucose into the bloodstream as has Salsulin™, a patented Salacia oblongata extract. Salacia is recognized for inhibiting alpha-amylase and -glucosidase activity, slowing the rapid digestion of carbohydrates to help support healthy blood glucose levels.
Finally, the probiotic Bacillus coagulans (Lactospore®) along with prebiotic inulin team up to offer synbiotic support for optimal insulin sensitivity and a healthy microbiome environment to help modulate and reduce inflammation throughout the body.
As a blood-sugar specific formula, Glycemic Select® is best taken with meals, two capsules at a time, up to three times daily.
